Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed the Boughner Family, Greensboro, PA, circa 1860, ovoid jar with flattened rim and incised banding at shoulder, decorated with a finely-brushed undulating vine between two freehand stripes. Large, ornate script "2" at midsection, flanked by vining. Good decoration and color, produced by one of Greensboro's most highly-regarded potting families. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor surface wear to side of jar.
