One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG. PA", circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a drooping graduated blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. A 1" glazed-over base chip. Chips to interior of rim. Two minor nicks and light wear to exterior of rim. Some minor wear to handles. Some wear to cobalt.
