Fine Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Grapes Decoration, Stamped "WM - A MACQUOID & CO / NEW-YORK / LITTLE WST 12TH ST.", circa 1870, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate brushed design of a grape cluster surrounded by four leaves. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with some water glass staining to surface and a few minor iron pings on reverse.
