Very Fine Miniature Stoneware Pitcher with Detailed Cobalt Floral Decoration, Ohio origin, probably Westhafer & Lambright, Tuscawaras County, circa 1865, highly-ovoid pitcher with semi-squared rim and applied strap handle, decorated with an artistically-brushed flowering plant design bearing three large blossoms with spotted centers. Brushed cobalt accent to top of handle. The elegant brushwork on this example suggests the firm of Westhafer & Lambright as the probable maker. Exceptional size with appealing form and decoration. Long shallow flake to top of rim rim, extending from area to right of spout along top of spout. Other additional minor rim wear and three minuscule rim nicks. H 5 1/2".
