Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stamped "ARMSTRONG & WENTWORTH / NORWICH," CT origin, circa 1814-1834, cylindrical churn with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized foliate design at the shoulder on the reverse. Front with impressed and cobalt-highlighted Armstrong & Wentworth maker's mark. Additional brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition with a faint 3" Y-shaped line in underside, a very minor area of in-the-firing chipping to base, and an additional tiny base nick. ($200-$300)
