Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring arched Hamilton & Jones maker's with stenciled rose branch designs above and below. Freehand stripes at shoulder and base. Freehand "3" flanked by dashes at base. Approximately 6" sealed crack from rim on left side of jar's front.
