One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG. PA," circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed spitting tulip design. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Tight cracks at base on front. Two short, minor surface lines in rim on front. A small chip to one handle.
