Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Milkpan with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Stamped "H. MYERS," attributed to Henry Remmey, Sr. at the Baltimore Stoneware Manufactory, Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, tapered pan with tooled shoulder, squared rim, applied tab handles, and pouring spout, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed cobalt leafy garland, each bearing a three-petaled flower or clover. Additional cobalt over tops of handles. Impressed "H. MYERS" under one handle. Excellent form, decoration, and color. Smooth 2 1/4" in-the-firing chip to base. A 7/8" in-the-firing base chip. A minor, shallow chip to underside of pan at edge. Two very minor base nicks.
