Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1845, ovoid pitcher with tooled rim, boldly decorated around the body with a leafy stem bearing seven graduated flower blossoms. Additional swag and hanging flower motif around collar. Excellent decoration and color. Hairline across underside extending 3 1/4" up front. Otherwise essentially as-made condition.
