Rare Squat-Shaped Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Henry Glazier, Huntingdon, PA, circa 1840, approximately one-half-gallon, squat-shaped jar with footed base, ovoid body, and flaring collar, decorated around the body with upward and downward oriented cobalt swags. Exceptional form, possibly used as a preserve, honey, or sugar jar. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 6 7/8".
