Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped Twice "ELIZ TOWN POTERY," Pruden Family, Elizabethtown, NJ, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized brushed foliate design on the front and reverse, below "ELIZ TOWN / POTERY" (sic) marks on both sides. Very nice condition with some small base chips and a short, faint surface line at base.
