Rare Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Large Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WESTON & GREGG / ELLENVILLE NY," mid 19th century, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed bird with crest and fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized leaf with vines. A scarce Ellenville partnership mark with strong decoration. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
