Scarce Redware Plate with Profuse Slip Decoration, Pennsylvania origin, probably Berks County, second half 19th century, decorated on the interior with eleven yellow slip designs, resembling the letter "F". Some additional green copper flecking to slip decoration. Unusual folky design. Reverse with pencil inscriptions "From / Musselman's / Ephrata Aug. 24, 1938" and "said to have been found in Hershey". Excellent condition with a few rim chips. Diameter 9".
