Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "FORT EDWARD POTTERY CO.," circa 1859, cylindrical crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a parrot perched on a leaf, with heavy shading to bird's belly. Small chip to underside of right handle. Very tight 4" surface line under right handle, not visible on interior. 8" inverted Y-shaped line from rim on front. A 5 1/2" surface line on reverse, not visible on interior.
