Five-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a large brushed and slip-trailed design of a flowering plant, featuring a central daisy surrounding by three oversized leaves. Impressive decoration and size. Excellent condition with two small spout chips, an in-the-firing contact mark to top of spout, and some staining to surface.
