Very Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "LIMESTONE POTTERY / KEITH BROS / MAYSVILLE, KY," second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, featuring the block-letter stenciling "LIMESTONE POTTERY / KEITH BRO'S / MAYSVILLE, KY". A difficult-to-find Kentucky maker's mark. Crisp stenciling with good color. Spider crack extending several inches down reverse side of crock. Small rim chip on reverse. 2" hairline from rim on reverse. Minor rim nick on front. A spot of staining on right side of front.
