Very Rare Stoneware Face Jug with Rat Tail Handle, attributed to Guy Daugherty, Bethune, SC, circa 1950, squat-shaped jug with applied facial features, incised eyebrows, china teeth, the tail-form handle. Albany-slip-glazed surface. Provenance: A recently-discovered example. Excellent condition. Two teeth may have been lost during the firing, with glazed-over dents where they once were. H 4 1/2".
