Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Eagle and Banner Decoration, Stamped "WM. E. WARNER / WEST-TROY.," New York State origin, circa 1850, cylindrical crock with thin, semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a spread-winged eagle holding a spotted banner in its beak. Significant restoration to cracks, including touch-up to much of decoration. 7" hairline from rim on reverse.
