Rare Molded Flint Stoneware Pitcher with Albany Slip Glaze, Stamped "D & J Henderson / Jersey City," David & John Henderson, Jersey City, NJ, circa 1828-1833, molded ovoid-bodied pitcher with footed base, the body decorated with relief foliate design featuring scrolled stems, interspersed with hanging daisies. Collar additionally decorated with hanging foliate and daisy designs. Molded handle with raised foliate decoration and thumbrest. Half of pitcher with dipped Albany slip surface ranging in color from brown to amber. Impressed with D & J Henderson maker's mark on underside within a circle, above the raised letter "B". Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 3/4".
