Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Articles, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1870-1900, a two-gallon crock with cobalt leaf decoration, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT"; paired with a stoneware filter with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "GATE CITY STONE FILTER" along with various patent dates. Norton crock with several rim chips, handle chips, and some staining. Filter with chip on interior of rim, a 4 3/4" crack from on reverse, a faint hairline on reverse, and chips to base.
