Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Eagle with Banner Decoration, Stamped "WM. E. WARNER / WEST TROY.," circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, tall collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with a very large slip-trailed design of a flying eagle holding a banner in its beak. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and two three-gallon capacity marks. Some fry to spots in eagle's wing. 3 3/4" Y-shaped line on underside, not visible on interior. Iron ping to rim on reverse.
