Fine Diminutive Stoneware Jug with Iron Decoration, Stamped "BOSTON.," attributed to Frederick Carpenter, MA origin, early 19th century, approximately one-quart ovoid jug with footed base and heavily-tooled spout, the base and shoulder area with dipped iron slip decoration. Skillfully-potted form, wonderful size, and bold slip decoration. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with two typical in-the-firing contact marks. H 8 1/2".
