Very Rare One-Gallon Asbury Park, NJ Stoneware Advertising Jug, Stamped "CASE'S PURE CIDER VINEGAR / CLOVER HILL / HUNTERDON CO. N.J.," late 19th or early 20th century, Bristol-slip-glazed cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising "Louis Van Gillowe, / Asbury Park, N.J.". Base with unusual insignia of the initials "V.G." (for Van Gillowe) within a diamond-shaped cartouche. Impressed cider vinegar advertising, highlighted in cobalt at base. Some chipping to spout. Otherwise excellent condition.
