Scarce One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to Samuel I. Irvine, Newville, PA, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tall collar with rim molding, the front decorated with a tulip blossom accented with spots. Sides of pitcher decorated with additional flower blossoms. Rim and spout decorated with cobalt swags. Professional restoration to cracks emanating from underside, with no touch-up to cobalt. Some restoration to foot.
