Rare Stoneware Jar with Incised Floral Decoration, American, circa 1820-1830, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, thin rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on one side with a heavily-incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a daisy, and on the reverse with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of three leaves connected at the stem. Possibly an early Ohio product. One handle missing. Opposite handle restored. Significant restoration to rim. Exfoliation throughout jar, with some poor attempts at restoring this damage. This restoration does not affect the incised designs.
