Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Folky Incised Decoration of Man, attributed to Riley Bratton, Muskingum County, OH, circa 1850, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and flared spout, decorated with a large incised design of a man with cross-hatched body and detailed hair. Large, 4" x 2 3/4" flake to underside, presumably in-the-firing, and a small chip to side of jug, also possibly in-the-firing.
