Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WEST TROY. NY / POTTERY," circa 1860, cylindrical jug with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with a large slip-trailed cobalt design of a long-tailed bird with crest and spotted wing, perched on a leaf. Some very light exfoliation to midsection of bird. Flaking to side and reverse. Stone ping at base. Horizontal crack in handle. Small spout chips.
