Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "ADAM CAIRE / PO'KEEPSIE N Y," circa 1880, cylindrical jar with sloped shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fan-tailed bird perched on a stylized branch. Hairline in underside. Numerous tiny chips and wear to inner ledge that would hold a lid.
