Unusual Stoneware Jar with Applied Lizard and Strawberry Decoration, possibly Southern U.S., late 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, thin rim, and rust-colored glaze. Surface decorated with highly-detailed cold-painted lizard and strawberry designs applied in plaster after the firing. Small base chips. Minor damage to applied decoration. H 6 3/4".
