Scarce Three-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird On Stump, Stamped "G.W. FULPER & BROS., / FLEMINGTON, N.J.," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with rounded shoulder and tall spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a long-tailed bird with heavily-shaded back, perched on the branch of a tree stump with shrubs at the base. A fine example of Fulper stoneware. Excellent condition with a small spout nick.
