Waddell, Alleghany County, VA, ovoid jar with tooled rim and applied lug handles, decorated on the front with a brushed cobalt "2" and on the reverse with the slip-trailed date "1852". Handle terminals are also highlighted in cobalt slip. A scarce mark in its own right, and quite difficult to find with cobalt decoration of any kind.
