Rare Stoneware Presentation "Bimbo Pitcher," Northeastern U.S. origin, Dated 1836, squat-shaped pitcher with tall collar and tooled spout, featuring the incised inscription "John Holton / Bimbo Pitcher / 1836," underscored by an incised foliate design. Very unusual presentation inscription. Hairlines in underside, one of which extends 4" up reverse of pitcher. 1 1/2" hairline from spout on reverse. Two small spout chips. One rim chip on side. H 11".
