Alkaline-Glazed Double-Handled Stoneware jug, Southeastern U.S. origin, possibly Edgefield, SC, circa 1850, approximately four-to-five-gallon ovoid jug with heavily-tooled shoulder and narrow spout, the surface covered in a light green alkaline glaze. Restored handles. Restoration to spout. Base chip. H 18 1/4".
