Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, ovoid jar with flared rim, decorated with an elaborately-brushed cobalt plant design featuring trailing blossoms and unusual oval leaves at the base. Brushed tulips under each handle. One handle lost during the firing. Two stone pings to rim and a chip to rim. Y-shaped hairline on underside, continuing a short distance onto base.
