Very Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chamberpot, attributed to J. Swank & Co., Johnstown, PA, circa 1870, ovoid form with flattened rim, narrow base with rounded foot, and applied strap handle, decorated around the body with a series of brushed cobalt swags. This chamberpot is the only example by the Swank Pottery we are aware of. Provenance: Consigned from Washington State. Tight and faint 2 1/2" hairline from rim. H 5 1/4" ; Diameter 8".
