Exceptional Western PA Miniature Stoneware Presentation Pitcher, Beaver County, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, elegantly-potted ovoid pitcher with narrow base and flaring, thin-walled collar, incised across the front with the name "Hannah Couch," accented in cobalt and flanked by two cobalt leaves. Collar and handle decorated entirely with brushed cobalt. Likely made for a relative of New Brighton, PA potter, Edwin Couch. A particularly-fine Western PA stoneware miniature. Excellent condition with a small darkened rim chip. H 2 5/8".
