Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Manganese Decoration, Stamped "HENRY GLAZIER / HUNTINGDON, PA.," circa 1835, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with strong mocha style banding, consisting of a wavy stripe of purplish manganese slip flanked by additional stripes. Provenance: Recently found in New England. Y-shaped hairline on underside, continuing 3 1/4" up side of jar.
