Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock, probably Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1840, cylindrical crock with rounded foot, heavily-tooled shoulder, and semi-squared rim, decorated with five brushed cobalt tulips extending around the body. Restored crack from rim. Restoration to underside. A few minor rim and base nicks. H 4 3/4" ; Diameter 8".
