Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with rounded rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of double-stemmed clover plant. Collar decorated with brushed cobalt leaves. Unusual size, measuring approximately one-half-gallon to three quarts. Restored handle. A few shallow, glazed-over base chips on reverse. 2" x 1" restored section to rim. Restored spout chips. Some minor, faint lines at base and on underside. H 9 1/2".
