Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a leafy vine design on the front and back. Two rim chips. Chip to underside of one handle. Spidering cracks on underside, continuing 4 3/4" up side of jar under one handle, and a short distance onto base in a few places. H 15 1/4".
