Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "BRADY & RYAN / ELLENVILLE, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a fan-tailed bird perched on branch, accented with dotted trails. Restoration to underside and base. Restoration to shoulder, side of spout, and where spout meets handle. Spout chip. Hairline in base of handle. H 13 1/2".
