Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "NEW YORK / STONE WARE CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1880, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and tall spout, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a fan-shaped flower accented with spots. A few minor spout chips. Piece of kiln furniture adhered to top of spout. Minor base nick. 3/4" in-the-firing chip near base on reverse, flanked by two much smaller chips. H 14 1/4".
