Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock, Stamped "M. WOODRUFF / CORTLAND," NY State origin, circa 1867-1869, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with brushed cobalt tulips extending from a slip-trailed looping vine design accented with spots. Provenance: Laurence Fish Estate, Trenton, NJ. Rim chips. Contact mark to underside. H 12".
