Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Wreath Decoration, Stamped "HARRINGTON & BURGER / ROCHESTER," circa 1850, ovoid jug with tall neck and semi-squared rim, decorated with a finely slip-trailed wreath with bow surrounding the number "3". Unusual incised and cobalt-highlighted X's above impressed mark. Excellent condition with a spout chip, an in-the-firing base chip, and light staining to surface. H 16 1/2".
