Two Stripe-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Western PA or WV origin, circa 1875, a one-gallon cylindrical crock with three cobalt stripes, Western PA or Palatine, WV origin, paired with a semi-ovoid Western PA jar, also decorated with three stripes. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. One-gallon crock in near mint condition with two small nicks to shoulder molding. Narrower piece with contact mark, Y-shaped hairline at midsection, and spidering crack on underside, extending onto base. H (of one-gallon crock) 7".
