Two Western PA Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, circa 1875, a two-gallon jar with freehand and stenciled decoration, stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO / PA," paired with a two-gallon jar with cobalt stripes and a freehand "2". Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. Stenciled jar broken and reglued, with flake and salt drip to right side. Other jar with large crack, base chip, 1 3/4" loss to rim, and a piece of kiln furniture adhered to side.
