Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "RICHEY & HAMILTON / PALATINE / W.VA.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, decorated with Richey and Hamilton stenciling flanked by leafy flourishes at the base. Provenance: From a Western MD collection. Excellent condition with some small chips on interior of rim. H 8 1/8".
