Unusual Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Jar, attributed to J.P. Schermerhorn, Richmond, VA, circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, rounded lug handles, and semi-rounded rim; the front and back decorated with a circular cobalt flower including an unusual wavy trail inside the blossom and stamens extending from the top. Excellent condition with one rim chip. H 12".
