Unusual Glazed Redware Spittoon, probably PA origin, mid to late 19th century, with coggled top edge and heavily-tooled base, decorated with cream-colored slip and splashed manganese over an olive ground. Base chip and small base nick. Hairlines to top and shoulder. Hairline extending downward from carved opening. L 7 1/2" ; H 3 7/8".
