Scarce Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Incised Masonic Symbol, New England origin, probably CT, early 19th century, approximately three-gallon ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with an incised design of a compass crossed with a square, featuring the letter "G" on interior. Design and handle terminals highlighted in cobalt. 3" loss to rim. Small base chip on reverse. H 14 1/2".
